We are a small breeder of miniature dachshunds located in Southeastern Arizona (close to Sierra Vista). We do ship out pups through ground transport to anywhere in the country. Here at Pottle’s Ark, we specialize in breeding dachshunds (mostly miniatures) but previously bred Great Danes and Bluetick Coonhounds. Due to personal reasons, we will not be breeding Great Danes or Blueticks anymore but we still show and compete in other events with them. We do have a few Blueticks, 2 Australian Shepherds, a Standard Poodle, and our Dachshund males available for stud. Currently we show AKC (American Kennel Club) & UKC (United Kennel Club) both conformation and bench. Our dogs have been trained for therapy work, Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog, Barn Hunt, Tracking, Search and Rescue, Field Trial, Water Race, FastCat and Conformation. We pride ourselves on producing dogs that will excel at any task. Many of our pups have become working dogs as well as companions.
All bitches that are bred to our studs must be tested for Brucellosis prior to live breeding; as well as providing health tests that have been administered to bitch (full panel, hips, and or holder monitor). Bitches that have never been bred before do not require brucellosis testing. Proof of testing is required.
We offer private training for basic obedience to the public and our puppy buyers. Please email if you would like more information.
