Today we showed Cowgirl, Dude, and Minion. Dude and Cowgirl qualified for worlds. Tia swam a good race and got her first win toward grand champion in water race. Tia and Dude ran field but were just a bit too slow.

Today we went to a conformation show in Augusta, Me. Trinity showed Tia for the first time in conformation. I handled Reaper. It was HOT. 96 degrees and high humidity. But everyone did very well.

ThIs was the youth event in Albion, ME. We arrived with 4 dogs (Tia, Hoot, Cowgirl, and Dude) and 3 kids (Elijah, Trinity, and Gabby). The kids attended the YEP class and then the bench show began. Dude and Elijah won the Grand champion male class. Trinity and Cowgirl won the Grand champion female class. And Gabby showed Tia but no wins for them. During the bench show, Dude won line and tree with Elijah handling him. Trinity handled Tia. Gabby handled Tia in water race. Elijah handled Dude in water race. But no wins for either of them. Later Elijah handled Tia in nite hunt but after being treed for 20+ minutes, she left the tree when they were about 40 yards away from her.

We had a wonderful time at the Maine State Championship in Albion Maine today. Anna got beat in show female, Dude got GRCH male and was beat in overall by a very nice English bitch. Hoot got first line and first tree for her first ch class win in field trial. Tia got first line and Overall in water race. She is now WCH. I’m very proud of what my dogs have accomplished.

Today we went to Albion for the Pine Tree Fall Classic. Hoot was entered in field trial and got line and tree in her class. She however was beat by a grand field champion for overall. Tia was entered into water race. She got line in her heat/class but after getting to the tree, she decided she just wanted to swim back and forth. She ended up swimming the water race 4 times total. She received 5 more points. Now she only needs 25 more to be a WCH.

Another great day in Albion. Hoot got first tree in field trial and Tia got first line in water race. They are both getting close to finishing to ch.
Minion was beat in ch female class on bench by Skylar, a bred by pup off Kitty and Baloo. Anna was beat in registered class by Luna, a bred by pup off Cora and Booger. We had a wonderful time and look forward to the next show.

We spent this hot and humid evening in Albion showing Booger, Anna, and Minion. No love for Anna but Booger won ch male and Minion won ch female. Both qualified for worlds. Anna’s sister, Skylar (Kitty x Baloo), won best in show to finish to ch tonight.

Today we travelled to Swanzey, NH for an AKC bench show. Cowgirl took BIS female. And Reaper took BIS male. Both dogs handled very well. Cowgirl was shown by our junior handler, Elijah. Cowgirl now has 40 points toward her AKC ch and Reaper is up to 95 points.

At the BBOA sectional in Albion Maine, I took on the challenge of showing up with 4 hounds to show myself. Thankfully, my friend Karen showed up and a youth handler was available to help. Anna did very well for her first show. She took class and breed. Booger didn’t win anything but he performed ok for his first time out all year. Minion won CH female and Queen of show. Dude won GRCH male and King of show. Tia got line and tree in her cast for water race. Hoot did ok in field trial but was a little too slow.

The Treeing Walker Sectional in Albion ME was where we headed today. Cowgirl won GRCH female and queen of show. Reaper won grade male. Unfortunately his papers weren’t back yet so I couldn’t enter him in CH class. Though the judge loved him and said she wished I had his papers! It was a fun show and a great way to end show season.

UKC confornation show
UDSNNE hosted their annual UKC conformation show in Scarborough ME this weekend. We were able to attend one day of the show. Hoot was the only dog we brought. She was wonderful.

UKC premier was one of the best experiences I’ve had. We arrived exhausted from the long drive but ready to show. Cowgirl showed beautifully and won a group 4. I was absolutely amazed with her and beyond happy!

Today, we traveled to Swanzey NH for the UKC bench show at Monadnock Sportsmens Association, Cowgirl won Champion Female, finishing her to a Grand Show Champion (pending UKC approval) And Baloo won Champion Male meaning he only needs 2 more Champion Male wins to gain his Grand Show Champion Title. I'm so proud of these dogs!

We traveled to Exeter, RI for their first show of the year! We had an amazing time with good friends and are very pleased to say that Booger went Best of Class, Best of Breed and Best Male of Show to add 30 points towards his UKC Show Champion title!
